Michelle Gillard of Grand Bend...don't you dare pick that mushroom and eat it until it's confiremed, it's a Morel.
The picture that you took that resemblances brain tissue, could easily be the poisonous false morels which can be told apart from the true morels by careful study of the cap, which is often "wrinkled" or "brainy", rather than honeycomb or net-like.

Barry's Response - Sylvia's right. Choosing mushrooms and other fungus for consumption requires considerable expertise.
