Technically, pollution is the mixing of unwanted substances with our environment. It causes problems such as disruption of the natural, existing way of operating, disease, death or discomfort to plants, humans and animals. It can even change the course of geological movements and alter the environment half a world away. We are just beginning to realize that now.
