Helping everyone out by making a joke about Global Warming.

That was a good one!

That was a good one!

There are many ways that making joke/humorous cartoons about global warming can benefit the whole world. Making jokes and humorous cartoons about global warming are alright because it keeps us thinking about the subject of global warming and all the ways we can help solve this problem.

Some people don't like to talk about difficult issues, they would rather put their problems in the back of their minds and forget they ever existed.

Why Bother

Making jokes/humorous cartoons about global warming bring the subject to the front of our minds and that will help us to remember to do our part in helping to slow down, maybe even reverse this man made disaster. The people who can't take a joke and get mad about others making fun of the topic of global warming are still benefiting by the jokes/humorous cartoons because it makes them angry and will hopefully get them talking with others, even if they are complaining about it.

Global warming, green house gasses and the depletion of our natural resources are very serious matters but if a joke or humorous cartoon helps to bring the topic up for discussion keep the coming and hopefully we will solve this problem.

Barry's Response - I always knew that humour in difficult situations had its place, but I've never seen it put to thoroughly.

Let me Elaborate

Do you want to save the world by cracking jokes? We're glad you're here. It's easier to talk about carbon footprints when you're tickled.

Humor works because it sneaks past defenses. Charts stare silently while jokes shout in the hallway. When a cartoon says, "Hey, your SUV farts a lot," you'll laugh instead of rage. It sometimes works better than another IPCC synthesis report nobody reads (even the people who quote it).

Distinction Matters

Climate change, air quality, and weather aren't jokes. A guffaw can thaw tensions when policy debates freeze up.

The kicker is: not all warming is caused by humans. Did you know the Earth's orbit changes in subtle cycles (Milankovitch)? Volcanoes, ocean currents, and cosmic rays stir up the climate soup. There's no free pass for fossil fuels-the climate story is a novel, not a tweet.

Don't forget about air quality. Your lungs don't care where particulates come from. There should be a green trend in the AQI Air Quality Index.

I'll give you one:

What's the deal with the CO2 molecule applying for a job? The company wanted to climb the corporate ladder. It wanted to climb the corporate ladder of the troposphere. It's not my best, but if it makes someone giggle and Google "troposphere," we've done our job.

Are you ready to joke your way to a cleaner future? What's your favorite climate joke? Let me know what you think! Together, let's laugh, learn, and breathe better.

Yup he is right,if u really serious about any serious matter and want to attract young minds, then only thing which can attract him is Humor...

From Barry - Sean, you're right. Humor works when you're trying to reach teens who think "carbon footprint" is a shoe brand. Memes don't cool the planet, but they warm people up to the topic. Think of it like climate action with a smiley face. But even behind every dad joke about the ozone, there's atmospheric chemistry at play. Let's laugh while we plant trees.

Humor as a Political Tool Humor can definitely be an effective tool at spreading a message. This page would be great if there were a little bit more info about the issue of global warming on the home page!

From Barry - Ramita, thanks for the sharp eye. Humor holds attention even when the subject gets messy. The homepage needs some more data beneath the chuckles, though. How about a graph or two wearing Groucho glasses? We can talk about methane and stratospheric cooling, and still giggle at cow burps.

I liked the website. It is really great effort on the environmental issues. I also felt the same way we should say someting humorously to our leaders. Then only they can atleast listen to us. Thanks for the great information

From Barry - I agree, Michael. It's like yelling politely. Without a police escort, it gets noticed. You give a speech about melting glaciers and everyone yawns, but show a cartoon of a polar bear with floaties and everyone's paying attention. Maybe leaders will read a punchline instead of a UN report.

I really like this page the picture, content and message they all were complimenting each other quite well and the icing on the cake was humour. Loved it well done.

From Barry - You just made the planet blush, Faith. Thanks! Engagement = humor + visuals + truth. We need less fear and more flavor in climate science. Radiative forcing or a cartoon sunbeam getting mugged by greenhouse gases?

PROBLEMS
by: Abal

GLOBAL WARMING IS WARMING OF EARTH DUE TO WHICH THE SEA LEVEL RISES AND CAUSES SEVERAL OTHER PROBLEMS THE HEAT IN THE ATMOSPHERE IS INCREASED TO A GREATER EXTENT DUE TO WHICH DISEASES LIKE CANCER AND OTHER KILLING DISEASES SPREAD FAR AND WIDE EVEN THERE IS A GREAT IMPACT IN THE WEATHERS WHERE RAINFALL IS SHORTENED AND ALSO THERE IS TERRIBLE TORNADOS AND STORMS OCCURING WEATHER FORECASTING BECOMES DIFFICULT DUE TO THE RISE IN SEA LEVEL THE REGIONS AROUND THE SEAS GET SUBMERGED AND VANISH COMPLETELY.

From Barry - CAPS LOCK is loud and needed, Abal. From rising sea levels to heatwaves turning cities into toasters, these effects are no joke (except when they're for awareness). Cancer risks, droughts, and messed-up jet streams are all linked to climate changes, like amplified feedback loops and shifting atmospheric circulations. Let's pair the urgency with action.

Good Website Global warming is a serious issue in our world and many people are turning a blind eye to the truth. We need to use any means necessary to get people to see how big of an issue it is.

From Barry - You said it, Liu Bao Rong. Global warming isn't hiding, it's right at our doorstep. Humor sneaks facts into people's minds. They might listen once they laugh. If they listen, they might act. Let's not let laughter be the only thing you take away from the satire.

we should follow our precautions rules from Global warming. it will be safe to our next generation also. so we should save Green, pollution control etc.., yes we Can't Hide From The Truth!

From Barry - Green thumbs up. Today's pollution controls mean tomorrow's breathable air and drinkable water. The more we understand the sources, the better we can tackle CO2, PM2.5, or methane. Rather than just following the rules, let's write better ones.

From Barry - Thanks for the echo, Carl. Denying climate change is like snoozing a fire alarm. Humor might be the best way to wake people up. It's all there -- rising CO2, warming oceans, shrinking glaciers. It's just a matter of getting better messengers. Cartoons with fire extinguishers.

hot weather
by: Cindy Quinn

The article was well written. Yes i do care about global warming as it is increasing day by day. Due to it people are starting to face many problems i.e Hot weather.

From Barry - You nailed it, Cindy. It's no longer just summer's flex - it's a symptom. Heat islands, jet stream kinks, and weakened polar vortices are all connected. Humor won't fix it, but it'll get people to listen. Let's talk mitigation if your ceiling fan can't handle the Sahara.

THE FACT
by: Factoid

I think it is right.

From Barry - Factoid, thanks for the vote of confidence. There are times when three words are more powerful than three degrees Celsius. We're glad you're here for the facts-even better if we throw in a joke or two. Don't stop thinking, and don't stop sharing.

Important issue
by: Brian Gee

This is an important issue of the society which all people are facing. This type of websites creates more awareness among the people and tells how to deal with this type of problems in society.

From Barry - Brian, that's exactly what we're trying to do. Awareness is the first step, laughter is the second, and action is the last. These sites (and their puns) aim to make climate science less scary. While the issue is serious, the solution doesn't always have to be formal.
